Will not be operating this season but we plan to reopen in the future.
Headleaf is a long (7 mile/11km), narrow (1 mile/1.6km) lake with depths up to 30 feet (9m), with high rock walls, sloping, rocky shorelines, cabbage filled bays and feeder creeks on the east end. A river on the west end is great for canoeing. On any given day Headleaf will generate the kind of Walleye action that causes you to lose track of how many fish your partner has really caught. If it's big pike you're fishing for, you will be more than happy to hear that Headleaf Lake is a great pike lake.
Headleaf Outpost has the distinction among our lakes as holding the daily record for most fish caught and released by two anglers.
The eight person frame cabin is further evidence that the evolution of the outcamp is occurring. Perched on a high point the cabin provides an expansive view to the southwest and a water view from every window. The screened veranda wraps around two sides of the 32′ x 32′ (10 x 10m) cabin. The floor plan consists of two bedrooms that each sleep four, a kitchen (propane fridge/freezer, stove, pots, pans, utensils & dishes, BBQ, Fish Fryer), a living room and a three piece bathroom with hot and cold running water, shower, and flush toilets.
Capacity: 8 people.
